We have just released a new firmware build for Meridian/P that supports the Ethernet adapter board.
The firmware includes SSL and DPWS support. You can download it here.
Please read this document before you hook up the Ethernet board as there is one issue that could let the smoke out of the Meridian/P if you do it wrong!
We have also released a new version of the standard build that fixes an application deployment issue that some people were seeing.

This looks like a great pair of products.
I’ve got a couple of ideas for projects that this would be great for but I really want them powered by POE – I’m assuming the ethernet board doesn’t support POE as I can’t see any mention of it.
Is their any intention of adding this (or a way I could hack the board to support it) as it would be really cool to be able to power a Meridian/P (and whatever is attached!) from a POE network connection.

There isn’t much to the Ethernet adapter, so you could create a PoE version yourself. The controller (Microchip ENC28J60) is widely available. Let me know if you need any help.

Are you planning to make a wifi module ?

Unfortunately our plans for WiFi are on hold after the partner we were working with stopped their development effort for the Micro Framework. We do have something coming later in the year that will support WiFi, but this is a few months away.
